WAY BACK WEDNESDAY

I've been a Close To My Heart consultant for over 7 years. You can imagine the collection of papers, stamps and accessories I have in my possession. I try to be logical when CTMH releases new products and just purchase what I need, rather than what I want. But that 'so called logic' fades fast. Which explains why I'm still trying to take off that extra weight I've put on.... Logic Shmogic ! ! !

I can't bring myself to ignore the pretty papers that once stole my heart. So now and again I challenge myself to blindly pick a pack and have some fun. You should try this sometime, although it's a challenge, it's releasing to just play, without a plan for how I'll use it in my business.

This pack is called Silhouette it was released in the Spring of 2008 and I have a lot of it in my stash. I must have had a plan for this right?
Everything on this card is CTMH with the exception of the small flower.

So, my challenge to you is pick a pack and have some fun!!

White Elegance

I love white on white cards, they make a statement all on their own. Cut It Up is challenging readers to make a white on white card with one other color so I decided to participate.

Here is my card:

I used Close To My Heart products. My favorite being the color ready ribbon. I sprayed it with Blush ink and distressed the edges of the 3D flower with it too.

I cut out the background and the flower with my Silhouette Cameo.

You Make Me Smile and a whopper of a sale!

When I was making this card I kept hearing Uncle Kracker sing this phrase.  Great song!
I purchased the recent Paper Crafts Paper Crafting Tips & Tricks magazine. Of course, stuffed full of ideas and fun and inspiration!

So I came up with this after seeing several ideas:

I also try to challenge myself to use my box of 'left overs' (tons of pieces and parts from other projects still good but didn't work and I can't throw away).  The scallop square is one of these pieces. I covered it with papers from Creative Memories. The stamps and sentiment images are from CTMH Hooray Bouquet. What scrapping room is complete without embossing folders?  I get mine from Northwoods Retreat!

Oh, by the way do you like a sale????? Check out my website - awesome deals coming daily as items are there while they last you can get them way below original cost!!

Card Challenge

Ok, another challenge sketch for me from CAS(E) this Sketch
I love to make cards and when I find I don't have a ton of time to spend in  my scrapping room, making a card is just the right thing to do!

The sketch - and my version:

I think I could get used to this!

supplies:
CTMH paper "Flirty"
CTMH stamp "Love Blooms"
Stampin' up sentiment "Word Play"

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Challenged

My niece has me thinking I should try my hand at a few card challenges. It sounds fun and it will probably get me out of the creative rut I'm in. So I decided to start with this challenge from Freshly Made Sketches. I like the idea of clean designs so I'll dip my little toe in the challenge water and see what happens!!
Here is the sketch:

Here's my version:

I used CTMH's  Scholastic paper pack and Casual Expressions stamp. I am pleased with the result, it was hard not to grunge it up a bit, but I wanted to stay within the challenge rules. I might have to play along with a few other challenges.
