You Make Me Smile and a whopper of a sale!

When I was making this card I kept hearing Uncle Kracker sing this phrase.  Great song!
I purchased the recent Paper Crafts Paper Crafting Tips & Tricks magazine. Of course, stuffed full of ideas and fun and inspiration!

So I came up with this after seeing several ideas:

I also try to challenge myself to use my box of 'left overs' (tons of pieces and parts from other projects still good but didn't work and I can't throw away).  The scallop square is one of these pieces. I covered it with papers from Creative Memories. The stamps and sentiment images are from CTMH Hooray Bouquet. What scrapping room is complete without embossing folders?  I get mine from Northwoods Retreat!

Oh, by the way do you like a sale????? Check out my website - awesome deals coming daily as items are there while they last you can get them way below original cost!!

Ok, another challenge sketch for me from CAS(E) this Sketch
I love to make cards and when I find I don't have a ton of time to spend in  my scrapping room, making a card is just the right thing to do!

I think I could get used to this!

supplies:
CTMH paper "Flirty"
CTMH stamp "Love Blooms"
Stampin' up sentiment "Word Play"

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Where oh where is my iPhone?

Disappearing iPhone

It happens on a daily basis "hey girls have you seen my phone?" "No mom, did you check your office?" "Yes I have, this is frustrating!"
Ten minutes later I see it in my office sitting there all pretty on a stack of something on my desk. It's white, it gets lost in the paper piles. I can't count how many times I've had to call it to locate it. I'm sure I'm not the only one!
Anyway, I looked for a new cover, I really wanted lime green or hot pink, hard to lose it with those colors jumping out at you. I looked, but could not find - nor want to pay for - another cover, so like any crafty gal, I thought, why not make one??
I got out my vinyl I bought a hundred years ago (or so, I might be off a little), and used my Silhouette Cameo skills and designed one and cut it out. No, it's not pink or lime green, but I think it wont get lost on my desk anymore!

Yeah, not exactly my first color choice but, it will do!

Challenged

My niece has me thinking I should try my hand at a few card challenges. It sounds fun and it will probably get me out of the creative rut I'm in. So I decided to start with this challenge from Freshly Made Sketches. I like the idea of clean designs so I'll dip my little toe in the challenge water and see what happens!!
Here is the sketch:

Here's my version:

I used CTMH's  Scholastic paper pack and Casual Expressions stamp. I am pleased with the result, it was hard not to grunge it up a bit, but I wanted to stay within the challenge rules. I might have to play along with a few other challenges.
